PWS SUPPORTS TEAM RYNKEBY – GOD MORGON
PWS have decided to donate money to Team Rynkeby – God Morgon, becoming a Gold Sponsor for the big bicycle project, which collects money for cancer-suffering children and their families.
ELEVEN CYCLISTS WENT TO PARIS
Team Rynkeby started in Denmark in 2002, when eleven cyclists decided to cycle to Paris to see the end of the cycling competition "Tour de France". The cyclists had a connection with the company Rynkeby Foods and managed to recruit the food company as the main sponsor, together with other sponsors. 44 500 SEK in excess, from the week-long cycle ride, opened for the opportunity to donate money to the childhood cancer department at Odense University Hospital.
It was the starting point for an annual recurrent tradition that spread across the Nordic region and generated more teams that annually raise money for cancer-suffering children.
ONE TEAM BECAME 59 TEAMS
Today, Team Rynkeby consists of 59 teams of 2400 exercise cyclists and 550 functionaries. Cyclists in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Germany and Switzerland have been selected among thousands of applications, which came in via Team Rynkeby's website. The elected commits to bicycle 1200km to Paris and to actively work to collect money for the project.
AT FULL LENGTH TO CANCER-SUFFERING CHILDREN
The website presents the participants in the different teams; TEAM RYNKEBY. Here you can choose teams, and even participants, who you want to sponsor. The money goes at full length to children who have cancer and their families.
